This N.F.B. Film by Director Ann Claire Poirier’s tells about her own daughter, Yanne, turned to drugs and prostitution, Yanne was murdered at the age of 26.  Following the tragedy she unearths her daughter’s past in an effort to understand what causes young people to risk their lives for the drugs they believe will set them free. The director enters the world of Montreal’s street people – young drug addicts, prostitutes and people living with AIDS – to reflect upon the events leading to her daughter’s tragic death.  (Some of the dialogue is subtitled from French to English)
