Bradshaw - Family Secrets - 6 parts

Subject:
Co-dependency
Minutes Long:
60 each

In this six-part series John Bradshaw talks about the secrets that are part of every family and the trouble they can cause.  All families have secrets, and some are healthy.  Parents need intimate secrets from their children, and siblings need secrets to develop their identity.  However, others, those he calls “dark secrets”, limit the wholeness and freedom of every member of the family, often generation after generation.  Dark secrets are sometimes unknown at a conscious level, but are known unconsciously, and can create rigid rules for behaviour that have no basis in reality.  In this six-part series, Bradshaw outlines how to help participants get at their own dark secrets by drawing a family map.   This series has real life examples, including Bradshaw’s own, and offer not only theory but also practical steps towards solutions.
