Many myths exist about binge drinking, but the truth is that “bingeing” affects the brain and destroys brain cells. Drinking too much, too fast, can snuff out breathing centre cells, in effect; the unfortunate drinker dies from suffocation. Even those who are rescued in time may suffer permanent brain damage.
